Premier Sports Turf Contractors were asked to come into Southend Utd. Football Club to do an end of season pitch renovation. First we KORO off the surface to a depth of 20mm over 2 passes.
We then applied 90 T of a 70/30 mix of sports wash sand
We then cored the pitch with 3/4" hollows to a 5" depth leaving the cores on the surface to be mixed in with sand/soil top dressing
Then we verti-drained the pitch with 3/4" solid tines to a 8" depth.
We dragmatted and brushed all topdressing and cores in together and brought to a level, getting as much of the sand and soil down the holes.
Finally we seeded the pitch and lightly dragmatted. We then applied Pre-Seeder feed. Then watering started.
